“I registered for the Cactus & Lotus Wellness Retreat hoping for a chance to re-connect with myself and explore painting as a means of self expression after having spent the last few years caring for my young children and building my career. Shortly after I arrived I felt that I had [chosen well]: it was just the type of experience I was hoping for. The retreat allowed me to explore an inner conflict that I didn’t realize was holding me back, and I felt so much love and support from Diana and the other participants, even though we had never met before. The process of bringing my painting into the world was deeply emotional and I found myself shedding tears of truth and resonance at several points in the painting process and sharing circles. Now that the retreat is over, my overall perspective seems to have shifted. I have this calm, relaxed confidence and I am able to persevere through the process of bringing my painting to life [forward], with all of its unexpected revelations and wisdom. It has let me know I am capable of so much more if I just believe in myself and try.”

‘It was an incredibly powerful weekend and I met lifelong friends. If retreats and weekend offerings such as Diana’s were common place we would live in a very different world.”
